When we arrived at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, we had nothing but the clothes on our backs. During our time in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, we quickly realized how easily basic self-care necessities can be overlooked when a family is focused on the health and well-being of their child.

Providing care kits to parents in the PICU is our way of offering comfort, support, and a small reminder that they are not alone during one of the most difficult times they may ever face.

Our goal is to maximize the number of care kits we can provide, expanding our reach to children’s hospitals and families across the region and into the future. With the continued support of our generous donors and community, we hope to ensure that no family has to worry about these basic necessities while they are focused on what matters most—their child.

Happy Pages

Happy Pages is a coloring book created with love in memory of Evelyn. What began as an idea from Evelyn’s daddy turned into a very special project that allows a little piece of Evelyn’s joy and creativity to live on.

Throughout the pages, you’ll find personal touches that make this coloring book uniquely Evelyn—including her own artwork featured on the front and back covers. You’ll even find a photo of Evelyn transformed into a coloring page.

Each coloring book is paired with a box of crayons and will be distributed by art therapists to children at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Our hope is that these simple gifts provide a moment of creativity, distraction, and—most importantly—a little HAPPY during a difficult time.

Raising Pediatric Sepsis Awareness

After Evelyn passed away, we felt a deep responsibility to share her story and raise awareness about sepsis in children. We never knew how quickly sepsis could take the life of a healthy, vibrant child, and we want other families to recognize the signs and understand the importance of early treatment.

Today, Evelyn’s story is at the heart of our commitment to pediatric sepsis awareness. By sharing her story, we hope to educate families, encourage early recognition, and help prevent another family from experiencing the heartbreak of losing a child to sepsis.

Evelyn may no longer be here, but her smile, her spirit, and her story continue to make a difference. We will carry her with us always—and continue to let her light shine.
